National Videogame Museum is a museum dedicated to the history and culture of video games. It was founded in 2015 by John Hardie and Daphne Bavelier. The museum is located in Sheffield, England. The National Videogame Museum has three floors of exhibits dedicated to different videogame history and culture aspects. The first floor is devoted to the early history of video games, from the earliest examples of electronic gameplay to the rise of arcade gaming in the 1970s. The second floor explores the golden age of console gaming, from the birth of home gaming with Atari’s VCS to the Nintendo Entertainment System and beyond.
